About the project
Printed Oceans is PangeaSeed’s ongoing fine art print program that raises awareness and educates about pressing marine environmental issues through the lens of some of today’s most respected creative minds.
Since 2012, we have released over 350 original fine art print editions highlighting endangered marine species and threatened ocean habitats. These stunning handcrafted editions help bring important conservation stories into homes, classrooms, and workspaces worldwide, creating critical dialogue and inspiring positive action for ocean conservation.
We collaborate with a diverse, international community of renowned contemporary artists to create fine artwork print editions addressing our Priority Ocean Challenges. Our commitment is reflected in a thorough briefing process, providing artists with comprehensive information on topics like plastic pollution, overfishing, and climate change impacts.
Armed with this knowledge, our supporting artists infuse their work with a profound understanding of the urgent need for ocean conservation. Our goal is to inspire both artists and audiences to take meaningful actions to safeguard our oceans for future generations.
