Alexandra Azevedo is originally from Chicago but is a true explorer at heart, traveling and working across seven continents. From a young age, she felt a calling for the environment and a deep connection to nature and all the species that share our planet. This lifelong dedication has driven her to study ecosystems worldwide, exploring the interconnectedness of Earth’s environments. As a devoted ocean conservationist, Alexandra channels her passion through science, storytelling, and advocacy. She has experience working with Universities and NGOs at the interface of the Sustainable Blue Economy, Marine Protected Areas, the ocean-climate nexus, and sustainable fisheries. Alexandra bridges the gap between science, education and policy. Her work is a testament to her unwavering commitment to protecting our planet and inspiring others to do the same.
