Taylor Reinhold is a versatile muralist and illustrator whose true passion lies in painting vibrant murals and crafting captivating logos. His creative expertise spans various realms, including design, art curation, and large-scale installations. Renowned entities such as Burning Man, Poly (Plantronics), Comcast, and LinkedIn have sought his artistic touch. Reinhold’s imaginative murals adorn locations worldwide, from the streets of Brazil and Costa Rica to the landscapes of Tanzania and Thailand. As a key member of the Made Fresh Crew collective, he collaborates with fellow artisans, constantly innovating and producing original works of art. Additionally, Tay finds joy in transforming urban objects into pieces of art, often using recycled materials for painting and silk screening.
In September 2021, Reinhold became the Project Director of Sea Walls Santa Cruz, bringing the PangeaSeed’s global program, Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans, to his hometown. This initiative aimed to highlight pressing ocean conservation issues through the creation of 19 thought-provoking murals. The Sea Walls project, completed in just one week with over twenty-five artists, addresses marine environmental challenges like plastic pollution, ocean acidification, warming seas, biodiversity loss, and environmental justice. The project’s impact reshapes Santa Cruz’s public art landscape, blending artistic expression with advocacy. A native of Santa Cruz, Reinhold graduated from Santa Cruz High and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Santa Clara University before returning to his community. In 2009, he founded the Made Fresh Crew, uniting local artisans for diverse projects that draw inspiration from street art, education, and activism. Reinhold is also deeply committed to nurturing creativity among youth through outreach programs and played a pivotal role in creating Santa Cruz’s first block-long Black Lives Matter street mural in 2020.
