About The Project
Our Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans program stands as a pioneering initiative at the intersection of art and activism, dedicated to harnessing the transformative power of public art in promoting ocean conservation worldwide.
Since its inception in 2014, we have curated over 500 murals in 20 countries, engaging hundreds of artists, local community organizers, and organizations in a collective effort to raise awareness of critical environmental issues. Each mural serves as a vibrant testament to the beauty and fragility of our oceans, inspiring communities to become better stewards of their natural resources while fostering a sense of pride and ownership.
By infusing city streets with stunning murals, Sea Walls creates a perfect synergy of art and activism. Through this multidisciplinary platform, the program educates and raises public awareness of ocean conservation issues, encouraging emotional connections and driving positive action for the ocean. Community engagement lies at the heart of Sea Walls, with each mural strategically placed to maximize impact and spark conversations about ocean stewardship. By growing an inclusive, global community of concerned creatives, Sea Walls empowers individuals to utilize their talent as a force for positive change.
